About ANSIGARDEN
Original BBS ANSI art, drawn by hand since 2014, character by character, in the 16 colors of the VGA palette.
ANSIGARDEN is a store for one artist's work: 212 pieces and 629 screens so far, from full board themes to single logoff screens, flags and portraits. Every screen is made for a real terminal: 80 columns wide, CP437 characters, and colors that look right in SyncTERM, NetRunner or a modern terminal.
Made for boards that are still running
BBSes never went away. Sysops still run them over telnet and SSH, on Mystic, Synchronet, ENiGMA½ and the rest, and callers still dial in for the art. The files here are ready for those boards: no editor metadata showing up under your screens, no surprises at column 80.
And for every terminal
The same art works as an SSH login banner, a /etc/motd, a fastfetch logo or the opening screen of a MUD. Every purchase includes UTF-8 versions for modern terminals, and PNG images.
Fair to buyers
You never pay twice for the same screen, buying more costs less, and what you buy stays in your library to download again. See the licenses and help for the details.
