One sysop owns it. It comes off the store for good, and no one else will ever own it. The artist draws your board's name into the logo. It comes with an exclusive personal license; for commercial use, write to support@ansigarden.com and we'll agree a commercial license for the piece. You also get 2 change requests while it's being drawn: colors, small details, text and lettering. A different size, layout or new characters need a quote.

A piece can only be claimed until the first pre-order. After that it belongs to everyone who orders it, so it can't be made exclusive. You can still ask for your own version: we'll quote a variant just for your board.

Every pre-order is refunded in full, automatically. The estimate on the page is the artist's best guess; when it slips, the page says so.

No. Lifetime covers all new art, including pieces on the bench, at your Lifetime's license. Claims aren't included, because they take a piece out of the store.
